Beverage Containers Eligible for Refund

All metal and plastic containers are likely recyclable, but not all containers will get you a refund. When you buy a beverage in Alberta, you pay a deposit on the container. When you return the container to a depot, you receive that deposit back. 

Generally, deposits are only applied to beverage containers. Products such as vinegar or soap do not have deposits on them. Recycle those containers with your local municipal recycling program.
